What is the difference between a season, annual, package, or day type lease?
A season lease grants permission to trespass for purposes of hunting during the hunting season, and an annual lease grants permission to trespass year-round. However, many hunters and landowners in Texas use the term "season" loosely, and in many instances a season lease is treated the same as an annual lease. The day lease is pretty self explanatory. It grants permission to trespass for purposes of hunting for the day (or number of days). The package hunt is typically all-inclusive with meals, lodging and transportation on the ranch. Package hunts are usually 3-5 days in duration, and may be guided or unguided.
